Initial designs

Cardboard + Unigraphics v18.0 = Chassis v1.0

 

Preliminary designs are focused on: ergos, weight reduction, stiffness and packaging.

 

Engine of choice: Honda CBR600 F4i

Jenny Craig Edition

"Structural sidepods" added. These will incorporate the radiator.

Structural sidepods will also torsionally strengthen the narrow chassis.

 

Engine will be lifted out from the top in this design.

 

Bottom of chassis is raised to incorporate the lower a-arms more efficiently.

Engine tilted 5° forward.

 

We are trying to slim the chassis down while keeping its structural integrity intact.

Area above driver's feet and legs is still under consideration. Depends on how the dampers will be set-up.
